Reviewing... Best Green Drink

The green drink category really is saturated. There are hundreds of products on the market and many of them are good.

How to choose?

Researching products that match your own needs is important. People can have allergies to certain substances, some people just don't like certain things, and many products can be cost prohibitive for some individuals.

I have two personal favorites: Paradise Herbs Orac Energy Greens and Amazing Grass Chocolate Green Superfood.

Orac Energy Greens really is a superior blend. Each serving of one tbsp of powder is the antioxidant equivalent of 24 servings of fruits and vegetables! It is highly concentrated, and it takes an average of ten pounds of fresh vegetables to concentrate down to one pound of finished powder.

The other selling point for the Orac Energy Greens is the use of medicinal mushrooms. No other product that I know of offers this.

My second pick is Amazing Grass Chocolate Superfood. The taste of this product really is amazing. The company also uses superior raw materials and processing, so the end result is a great product. The Chocolate Greens are great for kids because of the superior taste. I personally try to avoid cow's milk, so I'll mix this in almond or coconut milk. It tastes just like the chocolate milk of my childhood.

Overall, I think both products are superior to most of what is on the market. The Paradise Herbs formula I believe is better for someone who is serious about making great strides with their health. The Amazing Grass formula is great for some one who wants something easy and tasty to grab in the morning, or for kids who are picky eaters.

A note about both: Each formula uses organic ingredients; each company is respected in the industry; both companies are known for using premium raw materials and exacting processing methods.

For those of you concerned about gluten, wheat grass does not contain gluten even though it comes from wheat. Gluten forms at a certain stage of growth and the leaves are cut before this happens.
